I currently work as an accounts assistant at Lime Property Lawyers. My responsibilities include:- Inputting land registry search fee data into the nominal to ensure that company has access to the records of all transactions related to land registry. Regularly double checking the journal to make sure that all land registry search fees have been input accurately. - Accurately processing data about bills of costs into the ledger to ensure that monies can be transferred from client to office account. - Maintaining and updating a Profit Costs spreadsheet on Excel to ensure the company has access to up to date information regarding the income earned from each completion bill. For each invoice, I input information about the profit costs, the bank charge fee, VAT and any additional costs charged to the client. I implemented formulas on the spreadsheet that automatically calculate VAT and the gross fee for each bill, to ensure that data input can be done faster and more efficiently. - Keeping an eye on the bank account daily to check when monies from client or mortgage advances arrive and notifying the fee earners when their cases receive monies on account. Posting incoming funds to the appropriate files on the ledger with correct references and dates. - Utilising Quill Pinpoint Interactive to verify new clients who had their proof of ID checked by the fee earners. Processing completions on the bank, sending mortgage advances, sale funds and redemption monies to the appropriate accounts, accurately inputting the sort code, account number, and beneficiary reference.

I was responsible for working on a key dates project. This assignment involved examining case histories of noise induced hearing loss claims and inputting important dates of cases into the company's case management system called Proclaim. The following dates had to be researched in each case history if they were not already on the system:- The date when the sign up pack was received- The date when the ATE insurance was accepted- The date when HMRC schedules were requested and received- The date when the audiogram passed or failed- If the audiogram passed, the dates when the GP records and the medical report were received- The date when the part 36 offer was made to the defendants- The dates when the claim was issued to the court, served and settledA very thorough attention to detail was required as sometimes documents were worded differently so it took analytical and problem solving skills to find them in the case history. For example, when a file closure form indicated that the case was closed because the audiogram failed, I had to carefully check each document at the end of the case history to ensure the correct file is found. The date when the audiogram file was received was then input into the web form. I sometimes also helped out the legal support team with filing, that involved putting audiograms in the appropriate folders. For example, if the audiogram was referenced as 146700, I had to find the file with the same number on the shelves and put in into the file. On one occasion I assisted the administration team with referencing audiogram documents. This involved looking at the reference number and the name of the fee earner on the audiogram and inputting the details into the system. During my time at Roberts Jackson, I consistently exceeded quantity targets and achieved a very high level of accuracy. I was regarded as a hard-working and dedicated person.

I was employed as a data entry clerk on a 3 month fixed term contract. During the first few weeks I performed testing on the company's database called VDSNet 3. I checked the invoices in the system against a quoting tool and I also tested whether the proposal forms are displayed correctly and reported any errors to the I.T. department. My main responsibility was processing proposal forms sent by veterinary practices into the system. This involved opening incoming post, checking the proposal forms and sorting them into 3 categories: Correct forms, erroneous forms and forms with queries. Correct forms were scanned onto VDSNet 3 and then the data on the forms was input into the practice profile. This data included idemnity limits, types for work the practice is doing, address details and signature. Erroneous forms and queries were also scanned on but were passed to the membership department or sent back to the practice if the form was not signed. If the practice requested any changes to personnel, they have to be made on the system. These included adding or removing veterinary surgeons from the practice, changing their employment status and risk groups. A high level of attention to detail was necessary as the system could not accept back dates, therefore all personnel changes requested in the past had to be made on the day when the letter was received by VDS. Proposal forms with errors and queries were scanned on but then passed to the membership department. Certain practices such as Vets4Pets and Companion Care could not be processed as they were invoiced differently. I was required to put these forms into a separate box. After the forms were fully processed and the personnel updated, we had to generate invoices and put them into envelopes. Focusing intensely was essential as direct debit invoices could not be sent out in letters and had to be passed to my supervisor.

I was responsible for checking Excel spreadsheets containing the bar codes of supplier products and removing erroneous data such as manual outer case bar codes. After a worksheet was processed, I uploaded the data to the organisation's Neptune software system and highlighted rejected records on Excel. I also had to go alter product specifications and descriptions when necessary. The purpose of these tasks was to provide accurate and up to date information for product suppliers. An intense attention to detail was necessary for this role and I was described by my manager as competent and reliable.

I supported the Council Tax Team for several weeks. My day to day responsibilities included checking the post and distributing mails to colleagues. I was also required to analyse address details on e-documents and performed searches on the company's Northgate software system. Using another system, these records were indexed in the council' database.

I took part in the counting and verification of votes for the E.U. referendum on the night of the 23-24th June. Working in a team environment, I was responsible for counting ballots, grouping them into packs of 10 and checking other people's packs to ensure that they were counted accurately. Our team managed to achieve a high level of accuracy throughout the night.

This role involved examining screen prints of letters that were rejected by the automated mail sorting system and then entering the correct address and the post code details into the system. The role required a high level of attention to detail and problem solving skills and a large amount of instructions had to be remembered to ensure that letters are successfully sent to their destinations. For example, there were different methods to deal with hand-written and machine printed addresses. I achieved excellent performance, regularly exceeding weekly accuracy targets.
