Ben Baker helped us as a contractor in a Dev Ops and cloud resource implementation role. At Gravity AI, Ben showcased his expertise by constructing a sophisticated Kubernetes cluster on top of the AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS). He successfully implemented Karpenter for both CPU and GPU automatic node provisioning, streamlining our system's efficiency. Ben also tackled some difficult problems around GPU time slicing using the NVIDIA gpu-operator/plugin which also ensured our Kubernetes nodes operated with optimal graphics drivers without any hitches. Ben's technical proficiency, combined with his drive to stay updated with the latest technologies, has been immensely valuable to our team. We believe that his combination of skills and dedication will make him an asset wherever he chooses to contribute next.

I have worked with Ben Baker, since 2019. We have worked together on a number of projects. AgileVR1.0 The first project we worked on was a complete software package for interfacing our USB movement input device – AgileVR – with Virtual Reality games on Steam. He created the entire package from scratch, problem solved all areas, working to integrate multiple headsets including Oculus, Pimax and HTC Vive. He also integrated with Unity. We found him to be extremely reliable, highly motivated, always friendly and great with customers. Very importantly he listened to our brief and produced an excellent application which far surpassed our expectations. During this process he learned our custom firmware, advised/created our USB communication protocols and educated and supported our team. AgileVR2.0 The second project was a Bluetooth enabled version of AgileVR, envisaged both as a VR input device which worked with an associated App. Once again Ben surpassed our expectations, quickly learning new software protocols, and best industry practices. He created iOS and Android applications, complete Bluetooth communication interfaces, and worked on the new device firmware, once again in a new programming language. The work combined interfaces, GUI, databases etc. Summary Ben is a very reliable, motivated, professional and talented programmer. We found him to be an invaluable member of our team, and I have no problem giving him my highest possible recommendation for suitable posts that will use his vast skillset
