With Dr. Philip Rubin of George Mason University, I conducted simulations and produced supporting code concerning corrections to the Monte Carlo regarding CERN's NA62 experiment in the North Area of the facility. In this experiment, we measure the rate of kaon decay into pions with neutrino and antineutrino. The current simulation and code regarding the Monte Carlo produced a skew that did not match the experimental data. Thus, I ran the simulations through CERN's Geant4 program to provide an accurate correction. Show less

Working with research head Dr. Karen Sauer and research professor Dave Prescott, we worked to detect explosives using two-frequency signals from spin-echoes of different materials. I implemented field coils with our noise filtering devices and connection adapters as well as designed the two-frequency signals. In addition, I used various measurement techniques to with multiple instruments such as oscilloscopes, lock in amplifiers, and function generators to measure the homogeneity throughout the coils. Under the guise of Dr. Peter Plavchan, I conducted research on exoplanets, specifically on the AU MIC system, through the analysis of predicted transit curves on light plots. In addition, I created graphs and analyzed the correlation between certain variables and Signal Noise Ratio. Also helped gather data through ISHELL system.
