Ben is a stellar example of immersion into the aviation interior industry. I was lucky enough to work closely with Ben to learn the industry, the lingo, and the people. He is an excellent coach and will teach and share his experiences with whoever wants to learn, all while continuing to learn himself. He is an expert at meeting customers where they will be before the customer even gets there. His innovative thinking makes him fun to work with and anyone would be lucky to spend time with him.

I worked with Ben over a three-year period, in his capacity as Aviation Business Manager of my largest supplier. Through listening, understanding and aligning on forward strategy, then delivering and exceeding on commitments, he was able to build trust and reaffirm the position as a strategic partner, whilst positioning for growth. Ben is one of the best I’ve worked with, I would strongly recommend.

Upon joining the Laird Plastics team in Los Angeles, my role was specifically focused around new business development. Maintaining and utilizing strong relationships with our preferred suppliers was instrumental in my success.

On special assignment for Laird Plastics, I temporarily relocated to work in one of our preferred supplier’s manufacturing facilities. The purpose of this role was to strengthen our supplier partnership, resolve challenging scenarios that arise, and educate Laird employees on ways to grow our market share in KYDEX® thermoplastic sheet. Some of the responsibilities I took on in this unique position were providing sales support and designing sales tools for Laird employees, offering comprehensive webinar training, traveling to Laird locations to do local training, making joint sales calls, attending trade shows and more. Onsite at the Bloomsburg facility, I helped organize and coordinate the company-wide designLab® training, communicate corporate announcements, facilitate Laird customer visits, while also working closely with every department. This challenging assignment gave me a great perspective on manufacturing and enhanced the sales person I am. Show less

As the outside sales representative for Laird Plastics Atlanta, I was responsible for managing the Georgia/Alabama/Tennessee territory. This required keeping strong relationships with my customers, while maintaining vendor partnerships as well. My goal was to provide my customers with the highest level of service in the industry, as well as keeping them informed on the newest product offerings and market trends. While continuously prospecting, my responsibilities included finding and capturing new business. All of this was done while following Laird's core values; honesty, integrity, hard work and continuous self improvement. Show less
