Bio
Melissa M. Sisco
I have had the pleasure of working with Ben at the Schaumburg campus for the past several years under his leadership as a student organization faculty advisor and as a member of a group of staff and faculty that co-teach a freshman seminar that is designed to reduce drop-out. During our time together, I have had the opportunity to see Ben organize and invigorate a student body that created an empowerment amongst students that was almost tangible. Ben created a socially supportive environment for faculty and students to come together to make our visions for change come true and Ben was the engineer. Ben was personable, flexible, and intuitive. He saw the strength of each individual and protected that person's personal growth and allowed for an even playing field for all to get involved. When I shifted campuses, Ben was one of the supportive people I most missed in terms of student services.
