  At Kilcoo, I had the position of counselor, where I was responsible for the safety and well-being of ten 12-year-old boys, 24 hours a day. In addition to general activities around camp, I also led them on a series of three-day canoe trips. Despite it being exhausting at times, being a counselor has been an incredibly rewarding experience as well as it being extraordinarily fun.   My placement as a race coach was with the Beaver Valley U16 SOD Race Team, where I evaluated the athletes' technical skiing with the end goal of becoming a better, faster ski racer. I was part of a team of four coaches pushing the athletes to ski their very best, as well as trying to give them the tools they need to succeed in their racing careers.
