Responsible for the coordination and execution of commercial property acquisitions on behalf of a number of managed funds. These funds varied considerably in terms of size, vehicle type, target return and general strategy; ranging from £200m segregated mandates up to larger wholesale funds (£3.5bn). My primary role was to source and appraise investment opportunities in the marketplace via an extensive contact base. Target lot sizes typically ranged between £5m-£45m; working across all property sectors / sub sectors. At Scarborough Group I was responsible for the asset management of a large commercial property portfolio throughout England. The portfolio primarily contained multi let office buildings although there were elements of industrial, retail and leisure.Main achievements :The completion of 46 leasing transactions across a combined floor area of 166,000 sq ft; generating an additional rent roll of £2.25 million per annum.The separate disposal of 19 commercial assets using a range of sale techniques for a combined total of £65 million (Borehamwood, Rickmansworth, Chelmsford, Crawley, Datchet, Walton-on-Thames, Redhill, Richmond, the City of London, Camberley, Watford, Watford, Exeter, Egham, Bedford, Rushden, Leicester, Sheffield and Blyth).The £20 million acquisition of the 'Concentric Portfolio’ which comprised a number of prominent office buildings throughout the South East.Passing the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Assessment of Professional Competence at the first attempt - 'Commercial Property Practice'.

During my placement year away from University I worked in the ‘Valuation & Advisory Services’ team at Cushman & Wakefield’s Prague office in the Czech Republic.The role involved valuing a wide range of commercial property across all sectors on behalf of clients ING, Unibail Rodamco, HB Reavis, Hunter, KPMG and McDonalds. Properties were predominantly located within both the Czech and Slovak Republics although on some occasions I was stretched further afield into Austria, Poland and Hungary. The main highlight was the valuation of Shopping City Süd on the outskirts of Vienna, a supra-regional scheme totaling in excess of 1.8 million sq ft.
