During Ben‘s most recent engagement with Qeetoto he successfully delivered two pieces of work -exceeding expectations on both occasions. His first engagement was to develop an Open Banking integration proof-of-concept which he successfully delivered in a much shorter time frame than expected whilst achieving everything that we asked. This piece of work enabled us to progress to the next stage of our MVP. On his second engagement he automated a time-consuming and manual data-extraction process to automatically generate machine-readable data that we used in our management reports. Working within the Data Team at CMR to create apps and services to allow internal (and some external) customers to greater understand the data coming from Versius and therefore understand how to improve the robot and everything around it. Learnt more in one year than my entire university career - how to work in a team and help each other. Pair programming was so important to improve my skills and become a better coder overall. Understanding real-world tooling and how to use Git properly as well CI tools such as TeamCity and AWS. Creating databases through serverless methods using AWS Lambdas to extract the data. On the business side - Being part of all the AGILE ceremonies for a SCRUM-based team was a key part of my learning experience. Getting involved with design talks, giving my opinion and understanding when I was wrong or right gave me confidence over the year to talk more, and hopefully lead to some impact in the company in a small but meaningful way. Biggest thing I learnt over the year was how to learn fast and always be ready anything, whether it's business or technical change. Show less
