  As a member of the Agribusiness Food & Trade (AFT) team, my primary focus was on our clients, the promotion and competitiveness of our industry, and our export and supply chain resilience. My day-to-day work requires me to provide analysis of WA agrifood trade and the relevant international trade context to strategic decision makers. I perform research, stakeholder consultation, ABS data analysis, and report writing. I was also responsible for responding to immediate events effecting WA agrifood trade, requiring me to work in a fast pace and high-pressure environment with evolving priorities. During my tenure as a Trade officer, I have built effective relationships with a variety of stakeholders ranging from independent businesses to government organisations.  Conducted collaborative research and analytical work on topical strategic and policy issues concerning international trade, foreign investment and industrial development to support evidence- based decision-making.  Liaised and consulted with stakeholders to identify strategic needs and issues.  Reviewed existing policies and technical data to identify anomalies and opportunities.  Prepared public hearing testimonies, written submissions and presentations for senior government officials.  Represented DPIRD at conferences and workshops.  Contributed to DPIRD publications.   During my time with the Army reserves, I have spent time with both the Accelerated training Company and 10 Transport unit. There is a universal requirement for all roles to maintain a standard of responsibility, presentation, and basic soldiering skills. My role in particular, as a specialist driver, is to transport packages and personnel securely within a given time frame and occasionally facilitate reconnaissance.
