      Taking all my knowledge and skills From the M40 Motorway DBFO to the M25 motorway Covering The m25 motorway trunk road , part of or mostly M4 , m1 , m11 , m20 , m26 , A1, A316 , A2 , A20-Attend Major & Minor road Traffic collisions -Undertake activities, as instructed, with capabilities to ensure that your area of responsibility is maintained. This will include but not exclusive to:o cyclical maintenanceo graffiti removalo carriageway repairs,o soft estate maintenance (e.g. grassland maintenance)o litter picking,o sign maintenance,o cleansingo safety fence repairso boundary fence repairso Any other duties allocated by Line Managers.• Implement Chapter 8 compliant Traffic Management in line with CPS policies, method statements, risk assessments and industry standards.• Undertake routine vehicle checks and maintain accurate and up to date driving records in line with legislation in accordance with CPS procedures and legislation.• Taking due care of any CPS property including but not limited to tablets, vehicles and radios.• Raise awareness of issues which may affect the safe operation of the network and report these as observed.• Check that Traffic Management signs, equipment and materials are carried on vehicles in line with current Maintenance checklist and are in working order, restock and record and report defects as appropriate.• Participate in Winter Service rota as required• Attend training courses as requiredI have dealt and worked with many road traffic collision ranging from minor to major (traumatic incidents) I.e Major Pile up , trauma and find I believe I am very skilled at liaising with emergency services and problem solving.Over my time whilst working on the motorway I have gained a substantial amount of experience in 12ab works and the legislation.-Although I am Not VSF certificated I have also gained a great knowledge of types of beams, posts and bolts etc and many more.       Whilst working on the M40 Motorway in the Incident support unit , I was asked by my line manager to actively stand as ‘Temporary charge-hand’ whilst my team leader had been offered a new job in management . On the day to day basis including nights 4 on 4 off consisting of 2 days and 2 nights 12 hour shifts I briefed my colleagues of a 5 working man crew of the day to day tasks . This included - Attending major and catastrophic incidents on the network and assisting crew.- attending fatal Road traffic collisions - Making the decision wether the lane or motorway should open after disown spillages or fires-Dealing with Vehicle fires - Carrying out Diagnostics on VSF - briefing night crew on closures e.g Work Area, overhead cables and any risks they might come across- logging onto NCC and delegating areas to crews ISU 31 ( junction 1-3 Northbound and southbound) and any adjoining slips and exit slips ISU 32 ( junction 3-5 Northbound and southbound) and any adjoining slips and exit slips - scanning all ISU Briefings and incident forms onto the database and any photos of A&E’s- carrying out debris patrol - Operating sweeper and combo- carrying out 12ab traffic management duties And any other duties that assisted my crew and that were instructed by management Show less

      I was working as a multi-Skilled op, however The royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead Introduced a new Pothole pledge scheme though it was not official on contract i was formally asked by my Supervisor to be a ganger of my 3 man crew from VGC sub Contractor and Volkerhighways Colleagues.this consisted of me Nurturing the crew on the Smart App and how to safely lay hot tarmac , and the correct plant and tools to use . Smart was a up to date software where general public were able to report occuring Carriageway defects , and where possible we would make a permanent repair (Patch) . I also Would drive the 7.5T Lorry to the tarmac plant and to several jobs throughout the day and completing and overseeing works. i felt being given this opportunity gave me experience on great team leading skills , and great health and safety practices that i implemented on every works site. i also Completed my SSSTS (Site Supervisors Safety Training scheme) course which also helped me throughout this opportunity . whilst committing to this opportunity i also had the priveledge of carrying out other essential highway maintenance Works , and Winter service Gritting , as per above .
