    • Educator for Archaeology Summer Program
      • Jun 2022 - Jul 2022

During the NLCHS Summer Archaeology Program, educators received 30 students aged 3 to 12 daily from the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club of the Greater New London area. Each intern was responsible for a group of 8-10. I also collaborated with my team to create an exhibit, excavated the site of the Shaw Mansion, and instructed our students on the objects we dug up. Specifically, our curriculum focused on comparing artifacts from previous eras to modern-day objects and exploring what these differences taught us about each period. Besides teaching our students, I assisted other interns in the program, including helping one who took a week off to catch up and another who started a week late. Show less
