Gervais, OR I was hired by Coleman Agriculture to design a custom system that would track the movements of one of their most valuable commodities. I determined the system requirements necessary to meet their needs after several meetings. Throughout the development process, as I listened to their input, I presented stages and refined the requirements as needed. I determined the system requirements necessary to meet their needs after several meetings. Throughout the development process, as I listened to their input, I presented stages and refined the requirements as needed. The client invited me out to the job site to demonstrate how they envisioned the system to work. This experience further allowed me to assess what the system needed beyond what the client had communicated showing me that some system requirements are difficult to communicate. The system required both front end and back end logic and tooling, which gave me the opportunity to hone my skills in Node.js, Javascript, and WebSockets. This system was slated to save Coleman Agriculture thousands of dollars in misplaced inventory and labor costs. I enjoyed working on this system and learned a great deal about web development. • Farm Owner
      • Oct 2014 - Sep 2018

Gervais, Oregon, United States This role has morphed somewhat over the years. It originally started as a management role revolving around the operation of the farm passed down through my family for many generations. This role began in earnest for me when I took over the farming operation in October of 2014. Upon deciding to conclude my farming career in 2018, my family and I decided to rent our farm ground to another branch of the family that is currently farming. In this way the role has changed into a stewardship role.

This role provided experience in customer relations, time and resource management.
