I have had a great experience working with Ben in the same group at Algonquin College. Ben has shown tremendous sales and marketing skills. He would be a great fit for a sports business position.

Working with Ben was an experience that I enjoyed. In the last year and a half of working with him in the same group setting, Ben has shown tremendous skills in marketing research, market planning, personal selling, as well as team leadership. Ben proved to be a team leader as I learned team building can be anyone’s role as long as they know how to leverage the right skills.

As the marketing manager, I handle the department’s budget and reconcile it with our finance department which has led to strong communication and time management skills. I handle the Direct Marketing Strategy and take command during the execution of events by making a floor plan, ordering supplies and making sure everything is where it needs to be and everyone has the event details. On top of producing events, I also look after the sponsorship of events that our company attends. I also handle the company’s social media pages through all platforms and work directly with the creative associate to ensure the posts meet our company’s standard and get the general public’s attention. While working directly with the financial advisor, I am responsible for processing transactions and making sure client's get their money in a reasonable matter. I also prepare documents for clients to sign and create their desired accounts. I possess strong communication skills and track the advisors sales sheets. While working in a fast paced environment, I have become very proficient in Microsoft Outlook and other tech programs.

Over my years of refereeing, I have learned that it is important to stay calm and keep a good composure as it lets everyone see that I know what I'm doing out there. I have also learned that teamwork is important especially when something big happens during the game such as an injury or fighting; working as a team helps resolve these situations fast and efficiently. Another skill that I have learned is time management as I have realized that I need to be fast in making decisions and can't waste time as there is a time limit that the game needs to be played in. While working at a top level golf course, i have learned that attention detail is what seperates our course from others. By taking the extra step of putting the golf bags on the carts for members as oppose to just leaving it outside makes a huge difference. When working in the maintanence department, keeping a close eye to the time is very important as all the jobs need to be done by a certain time in order to avoid the members on the course. As I spent more and more time in the maintanence department, I have learend how to be flexible. Not every day is normal and at any time I can recieve a phone call saying that someone needs help and i have to stop what I'm doing and go help someone else whether I enjoy that job or not.
