Whilst working for Monadelphous at Worsley Alumina, I expanded on my skills as an electrician and developed a strong understanding for safety and teamwork. Working in both brown fields and green fields areas of Worlsey Alumina I gained vital knowledge in the need for procedures, permits, and handovers, volunteering to be trained as a Bechtel Recipient. Electrician duties: - Main incoming conveyor shuttle shut downs - Instrumentation and control cable termination and marshalling cabinet wiring - Reading and understanding of schematics and engineering designs - Pump and motor install, termination and commissioning - EWP and high risk work - CAD welding and earthing joins - HV and LV cable pulls Recipient duties: - Raising the Permit To Work (PTW) at the start of every shift - Being the first to lock on and last to lock off - Controlling the lock on sign on/lock off sign off of the PTW - Ensuring the working party knew the designated work area limits, and hazards involved - Ensuring the working party were aware of all points of isolation - Suspending the PTW at the end of shift, or cancelling the PTW at the end of works
