Newton help organisations transform. We implement award-winning change across a wide range of sectors and projects; from construction and commissioning of the nation’s warships, increasing availability and reducing waste within grocery retailers, and improving customer care and wellbeing whilst delivering significant savings for NHS trusts and Local Authorities. We work hands-on to generate real and sustainable financial and operational improvement for some of the world's most successful and innovative organisations. We have a track record of creating 10% to 50% improvement, without any capital expenditure, and at no risk to our clients through our unique no results, no fee model.During this time I worked across 3 sectors; Defence, Retail and Public. Defence - I designed and delivered an operational improvement programme validating £57m of annualised operational savings for a large, multi-site MoD Defence Contractor, leading a joint Newton (14 consultants) and Client team. I was awarded the Newton Programme Delivery Cup 2018. Public - Designed and delivered a Target Operating Model for a high-performing Local Authority to improve service and care outcomes for Working Age and Older Adults. Retail - I supported one of the top 3 UK clothing retailers to increase on-shelf customer availability and sales. Show less

I have been mainly working in the Public Sector, leading the development of our Reablement service offering. Reablement, a short-term service looking to promote independence for Older People within their own home, has been our most successful operational intervention in Social Care. I co-developed a model recognised as National Best Practice, and have led similar, multi-million pound transformations within other local authorities. In one Local Authority, before our work, roughly 3 in 10 older people left the Reablement service requiring an ongoing homecare package for support. Improved decision making and more effective, therapy-led Reablement resulted in a further 2 in 10 people achieving a fully independent outcome (equating to 2000 every year). Newton also helped to the service to support 15% more people every week at no extra cost. The solutions, which delivered significant financial benefit, were designed and implemented in partnership with the Council as part of a wider Transformation Programme.More recently I have been working in the Defence sector, leading an operational assessment of a number of complex Test and Evaluation sites. Newton works hands-on with forward thinking organisations around the world to help them get more out of their operational processes and supply chains. Our people are talented engineers and scientists, not management consultants, so we’re able to identify issues that limit cost, delivery and quality performance, and then implement practical solutions that rapidly generate measurable, sustainable financial returns – from the bottom up.With a track record of delivering 10-50% operational improvement in two to six months without any capital expenditure, Newton are paid on the results they achieve, not the number of reports they write. They're the intelligent way to unlock the potential within your business.I was lucky enough to be involved with the key Local Government Association's assessment of Health and Social Care Integration, being responsible for understanding opportunities within Community Health Care and Social Care. I led the assessment across three geographies within the UK with the findings contributing to national discussion and development of STPs. I gained experience and an understanding of operational issues within Acute Hospitals. From investigations into the root causes of 4-hr A&E breaches, to leading an assessment into issues contributing to excessive length of stay for patients in Birmingham Children's Hospital - identifying solutions that led to a 20% reduction in the time Children spent in hospital. Working in the Defence Sector, I developed a systematic process to ensure that Facility Infrastructure Project work was correctly scoped, planned and implemented to reduce delays and maximise facility availability to support National Defence Programmes. I completed an assessment of a production constrained, complex-machining facility, identifying an opportunity to increase throughput by 24% through upstream enablement and tactical operational management of the resources.
