My position as a Head Baseball Coach had several responsibilities including; establishing the game schedule, coordinating and leading practices, communicating with players, coaches and families. In a sense, I held a teaching role. I extended the knowledge that I gained from my Baseball Coach at Saint Mary’s to the players on the Legion Team. I believe that I was able to do this in an effective manner. The team finished the season as the number two seed going into playoffs and then lost to the playoff champion in playoffs. This was a major accomplishment with regards to where the team finished during the High School season, where they received the number eight seed. In the eyes of many, the team made great strides, blended as a team and had an overall improvement. This position is during the summer months.
