  I was the lead system design engineer for three of the key Small Modular Reactor (SMR) primary systems. I was responsible for developing the systems from a blank sheet of paper, conducting requirements capture, functional means assessment, concept down-select and a large number of design activities. I used the HAZID process, fault schedule and PSA to help optimise the designs.

I also produced saftey case documentation and gained experience of conducting system HAZOPs, FMECAs and ALARP design principles.
