Starting on the Renishaw Electronics Graduate Scheme I have spent time working in placements at several departments in the company finally settling in the Measurement Automation Product Division. My responsibilities in the division are as an electronics engineer working on new products for the company. I primarily work on designing analogue and digital electronic systems based around micro-controllers and FPGAs using both Altium Designer and Zuken Design Gateway to draw schematics and PCBs. I also write embedded code in C for ARM Cortex-M, AVR and PIC based micro-controllers/DSPs. My role also consists of sourcing components, building prototypes, developing test plans and assisting the current generation of graduates in their roles. Show less
