Pupil Barrister
-
Oct 2015 - Aug 2016
During first six, I worked primarily on property and boundary disputes, including a particular focus on party wall cases. I assisted Stuart Frame on the High Court case of R (on the application of Farrs Lane Developments Ltd) v Bristol Magistrates Court [2016] EWHC 982 as well as various cases in the TCC division of the County Court at Central London. During second six, I was in court almost every day on a wide variety of civil cases (and the odd case in the magistrates for good measure!).

I attended around 1400 civil hearings in front of district judges in county courts across the South East and masters and registrars in the High Court. These included small claims founded in tort and contract, property (mortgage possessions and landlord and tenant), insolvency (petitions and applications) and assorted civil applications and interlocutory hearings.
