Ben is a highly skilled marketer whose knowledge across many aspects of digital marketing was invaluable while I was at Funlab. His strategic thinking across SEO, SEM, PPC and analytics combined with his marketing tech knowledge and creativity make him an asset to his agency and clients. Data driven and insightful, and always with the user at the centre of his thinking, Ben was a pleasure to collaborate with and I recommend him to anyone seeking a talented digital marketing strategist.

    • Senior Martech Advisor
      • May 2019 - Sep 2020

Helping organisations improve their usage of data & marketing technology. Dealing with C-suite and senior leaders across organisations, I help businesses understand the martech landscape and how they can use it to solve their business challenges. We now have the technology that can facilitate all 'north star' experiences, but most organisations don't know where to start and what milestones to hit along the way. I look at an organisation's marketing and CX outputs across four pillars - people, processes, tech and data. Rarely is it ever solely a tech problem, so working with organisations on key hires, organisational structures, process optimisation and data maturity is also vital to achieving results. And yes, we'll also advise which shiny tech you should spend your money on. Recent clients: - Carsales - nib- Metricon- Latitude Finance- Suncorp- Flexigroup Show less

    • Digital Marketing Manager
      • Jan 2016 - Mar 2017

The best thing about digital marketing is how broad and varied every day is. You're required to be an expert in SEO, SEM, ASO, social media, analytics, eDMs, marketing strategy and more. I coordinate a small team of professionals with the skills to help with everything from small business lead generation and sales, to digital strategy for large local and international brands. Responsibilities also include training to become office table tennis champion.

One of the great things about being in a smaller agency is that your workload is varied and ever-changing. This is especially true at Semcore where my work spans Web Design & Development, Graphic Design, Online Marketing & Analytics, SEO, SEM, Copywriting, Strategic Consulting & even a dabble into photography. My Website Design skills are predominately based in Wordpress but I have experience with Shopify, HTML & PSD sites. I build all new websites with a solid SEO framework and as many UX/UI principles as possible. Each build is specific to the clients needs and we make sure that the website, analytics, adwords and marketing strategy all work together to improve the client's online presence. I also get to be heavily involved with clients, both at the initial point of interaction and as project manager. In terms of Graphic Design skills, I am more than proficient with both Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and have a working knowledge of InDesign, After Effects & Final Cut Pro. I've done graphic design work ranging from logos, to corporate branding to wall murals. I am a certified Google Partner, having completed the training and certification process for both Google Analytics & Adwords Search. I make a habit of keeping up with as many current online trends as possible (it's hard) and attending events like Google Masterclasses and the like - I've got the google note pad to prove it. I could go on but no-one is reading anymore anyway. Show less
