  In this role I was responsible for: • Developing and implementing communication plans for a number of major departmental initiatives (including the communication planning and Ministerial launch of a $13 million aquatic biosecurity project). • Coordinating, writing and editing digital content through the department’s social media channels, website and intranet. • Coordinating, writing and editing the department’s annual report and various award submissions. • Developing a wide range of educational and communication materials in diverse formats and mediums including a new state wide recreational fishing guide and e-newsletter. • Acting as the department’s principal media liaison coordinator, writing media releases, organising media events and coordinating responses to media enquiries.
