  Gillig Senior Field service rep/trainer. Retired 12-1-21. Experienced in all areas of the Gillig buses. I have been a mechanic for 52 full time years as of 2021. I have worked on just about every type of vehicle over the years. I grew up around racing, hotrods, and shops. Experienced in chassis/frame, suspension, alignments, air brakes, hydraulics, engines, transmissions, electrical, multiplexing, and my favorite J1939 issues. Experienced with body, paint, fabrication and manual lathe, milling machine, welding, Tig, Mig, stick, and gas with different types of aluminum, different types of steel, 4130 chromemoly, , stainless, overall machine shop skills. Develop and write training material, and troubleshooting steps. I enjoyed new projects and challenges as the technology changes. 26 years of great challenges and successes till the last round of management changes. Shame to see this happen to a great company. I'll miss the old Gillig. Show less
