I provide one on one exercise physiology sessions, providing a goal oriented functional approach to enable those living with a neurological condition to reach their health, fitness and rehabilitation goals. I lead small group training sessions focus on enhancing cardiovascular fitness and muscular endurance. With no two sessions the same, sessions are designed to be varied, fast-paced and interactive. I work closely with a multi-disciplinary health providers to enable the accessibility to optimal health and well-being for our clients. Working with orthotists, nurses, remedial massage therapists, occupational therapists, and physiotherapists. I have written up reports for individuals under the NDIS, iCare, and other funding bodies to continue gaining the funding that allows them to partake in exercise physiology rehabilitation at Making Strides.

This neurological condition recovery centre works heavily in spinal cord injury rehabilitation with the goal to facilitate optimal functional outcomes for the clients. I work closely with the trainers and clients to increase strength to improve functional ADL's, and aim to improve ROM/reduce SCI symptoms that allow the clients to move more freely post-exercise sessions. The staff and facilities at Making Strides have allowed me to improve my prescription knowledge, rapport building, anatomy & physiology understanding and exercise delivery ability. Making Strides is teaching me what universities cannot!
