I had the pleasure of teaching Ben Anderson in Summer 2019. He signed up for my internship class, and I placed him with Rainbow Village, a nonprofit that works with homeless families in Gwinnett County, providing temporary housing and other services. He worked on a variety of tasks for the marketing team—conducting interviews for articles in the organization’s newsletter, editing video testimonials, and conducting research for grant proposals. Ben demonstrated that he is a fast learner and a team player. I find him to be thoughtful, professional, and full of great ideas and insights. I have enjoyed working with him.

In the summer of 2019, interned for a nonprofit organization called Rainbow Village, which provides housing for homeless families and guides residents toward a life of self-sufficiency. Conducted more than a dozen interviews, wrote profile pieces about many of the staff members, edited and proofread the volunteer manual and numerous resident testimonials, assisted with grant applications, and provided social media insights that proved useful in securing a $5,000 grant from Safeco Insurance.
