I was working on developing business relationships and sales opportunities on behalf of Turanga Creek Vineyard for their wine in China. My primary focus for the company is to strengthen the relationship with the Chinese distributors and to look for further sales opportunities. I was doing this by working along side the distributors on a day to day basis and aiding them in establishing the brand, marketing and selling the wine to various hotels, supermarkets, bars and restaurants. This was a company I set up in which I designed and had adult sized hooded towels made in China and imported to New Zealand where I sold them online. It was a small side business from my real estate where I learnt a lot about importing goods, quality control and online sales. Although somewhat successful and everyone loved the product, it was ultimately treated as a learning curve about the do's and don'ts of starting a new business.
