Lead research assistant with Team Plastic, where I led projects investigating the emissions and fragmentation of clothing fibres in the environment. - Led large-scale projects partnered with government, industry and fellow academics. - Experience sampling plastic in the field, identifying environmental plastics using confocal and light microscopy and spectroscopy (FTIR). - Inducted >20 volunteers, 4 of which went on to become valuable paid staff members. - spoke at national and international conferences (AMSA, SETAC), on national radio (ABC RN Drive, Eastside Radio) and podcasts (Boiling Point, Life on Planet A).

My research project was to investigate the learning capabilities of animals. We worked in particular with freshwater guppies and tested how quickly they learnt behaviour.
