Supervise Data Processors during maintenance of product numbers and updating product records. Data entered consists of maintenance of costs, prices, vendor information, color/size data, bar-codes and furniture specs. Performs supervisory and personnel management functions, assign and distribute work to the Data Processors, instructing them in specific tasks and techniques, preparing and issuing performance plans and appraisals, recommending personnel actions, recommending awards, approving leave requests, receiving and resolving complaints, proposing disciplinary actions, interviewing and selecting new employees. I am responsible for making sure the data is entered correctly into or internal system. I am also responsible for making sure style data records are maintained. I insure that style data entered by the Data Processors loads according to the rules of our other systems. My duties also include supervising the Inventory Control proofing process of the Soft Surroundings catalog. This includes making corrections to the proof before the final print and mailing to customers. I help solve data issues that other departments, including IT, have. I maintain the Inventory Control portion of the company’s internal website. I am responsible for assisting the IT Department with the daily maintenance of our Retail POS System and with design and implementation of our new system, PLM. I also work with the IT department on analysis of the company’s internal processes. We work together to look for possible problems and improvements. Responsible for training and mentoring new employees hired in the Inventory Control and Merchandising departments. Training includes instruction on how to navigate the different systems the company uses.
