- Investigated degradation kinetics of herbicides in biobed materials in a laboratory setting.- Conducted greenhouse scale biobed experiment and collaborated with engineers to design and build on-farm biobed.- Determined long-term agricultural practices effects on soil enzyme activities. Statistical analyses were performed by using R.- Analyzed various soil and biomass samples for parameters such as pH, organic matter content, nutrient contents, moisture content, water holding capacity, and lignin content.- Used Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique and GC-MS to determine herbicide concentration in soil and biomass samples.- Measured soil enzyme activities using colorimetric method.

- Collected experimental data and built predictive models for veterinary antibiotic sorption using multivariate linear regression. - Developed conceptual transport models and utilized computer software CXTFIT and HYDRUS-1D to model solute transport processes and estimate transport parameters. Model efficiency values >99%.- Performed statistical analysis such as analysis of variance (ANOVA) and multivariate linear regression using SAS.- Characterized dissolved organic matter using carbon and nitrogen analyzer, FTIR spectroscopy, UV-VIS and titration techniques.- Characterized soil clay mineral composition using X-ray diffraction results.- Investigated the effects of agroforestry practices on sorption and desorption of veterinary antibiotics. - Conducted transport experiment to investigate one-dimensional transport of 14C-labeled antibiotics in repacked column with and without the presence of dissolved organic matter.
