I was renewing one account with AIG and Bee Lin was the underwriter in charge. Without fail, Bee Lin demonstrated her delicate attention to details of the policy and worked within her means, and within the authority and guidelines of AIG to renew the account. At that point of time, I was convinced Bee Lin was someone who would put in more than 100% in her work. Bee Lin moved on from AIG and then spent 10 long and fruitful years in Chubb. Even though I did not have the honour to work with Bee Lin in her Chubb days, I had always heard positive remarks on her work quality, leadership and perseverance. I had never heard any negative remark on Bee Lin from anyone in the insurance industry. In her quiet and unwavering ways, Bee Lin always did her best for her clients while also protected the interest of the company that she was working for. She did not pursue anything glamourous throughout her career but silently working behind the scene like a workhorse for the company, for her colleagues and for her business partners. As a friend, I see Bee Lin as someone who is benevolent and selfless in helping others. She will put herself in positions of others, see where the issues and problems, before she offers help and advice from a neutral perspective. While most people care mainly their own well being and career, Bee Lin is forever ready to step forward to lend a helping hand to friends in need. Being an employer myself, I deem character of an employee is utmost important. As long as the character and attitude of a person is rightful, he or she can be trained in any skills.
