As the Director of Employment Services at BCI, I was responsible for the creation, development, implementation, leadership, funding, community outreach and operations, recruitment, skills assessment, job readiness and job placement programs and services for adults with disabilities that want to work in our communities. I led a results driven team that markets programs and employment opportunities to those who want a successful career. I proactively developed new opportunities and employment services across the region. I offered business solutions through staffing and outsourcing resources so companies that embrace excellence were able to focus on what made their company great to begin with. I managed public relations and community outreach programs, including speaking engagements, diversity training for businesses and provide career counseling. I wrote and created federal funding programs that resulted in residual funding to offset costs of services through Department of Mental Health, Vocational Rehabilitation, and local governmental entities that total Millions in revenue over the course of the programs.
