  Originally working as Marketing Co-Ordinator to promote the Oxjam Bristol Takeover music festival, my role then expanded to include acting as Venue Manager. The Oxjam Takeover is a one day, multi-venue festival, promoting local music, whilst raising funds for Oxfam's fight against poverty. Main duties included: - building contacts in local press and media to promote awareness of the event, organising interviews and articles for the Oxjam team, as well as local music acts. - producing press releases and blog posts. - recruiting designers for promotional material, organising printing and distribution of posters. - working with the Production team to source acts, programme timings and venue requirements. - acting as Venue Manager on the day, managing a team of volunteers as well as liaising with artists, sound engineers and other venue staff to ensure the festival ran successfully.
