Sing Papworth is a community choir I started in January 2013 with Patrick Dailly our musical director. Patrick and I have a passion a passion for community and music and wanted to enable people to sing and have the joy of doing that chorally. Papworth is a rural village with a growing population with new houses being build and this has been an ideal opportunity to bring the community together. The choir meet regularly and have 34 people on records with around 18-25 attending most weeks. No auditions or previous experience required. We recently performed in our first 2 concert and played to a packed houses at both. The choir sing a variety of songs the majority being specially arranged for the choir by Patrick. Songs include: Mumma Mia, Never can Say God Bye, God be in My Head, Jesu Joy of man's desiring, Money Money Money and Oh Happy Day. My role is to coordinate activity, communicate with Choir members, write press releases, speak at events, organise performance opportunities and manage the profile of the group locally. Show less
