      • Provide friendly, quality care to the patients and clients of Veterinary Village. • Receive incoming calls, screen those that are handled by other staff members and take care of routine calls. The routine calls include those seeking information about veterinary services. Provide knowledgeable sub-professional advice concerning the care and treatment of animals. Provide all information and brochures to callers in order to gain owner confidence and patronage. • Follow established hospital policies and procedure in referring clients for immediate treatment of their pets when requests are accompanied by complaints of acute symptoms. Determine the nature of illness / injury and attempt to reassure distressed pet owners. Determine whether immunizations and/or tests are current. Recommend update of necessary immunizations and/or tests when applicable. • Schedule appointments, obtaining all necessary data concerning the patient and owner. Prepare all required forms, such as animal client record forms and files, health certificates, immunization certificates, lab reports, and euthanasia certificates, in advance when possible. • Prepare to receive appointments by retrieving client records and preparing needed forms in advance of clients’ arrival. Complete required forms such as new client form, patient visit form, client report, consent forms, estimates, payment agreements, etc. and obtain all necessary information. • Greet clients in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner. Use client and pet names whenever possible. Follow check-in protocols and assign exam rooms based upon availability and anticipates services. • Review charts of patient’s being discharged from the clinic for completeness of information and make sure new appointments or note changes in patient status as necessary.
