  Sawston (Voluntary work.) For this bi-monthly 48-page title, I write an editorial piece, occasional articles and interviews, edit all the content, typeset all the pages using Quark XPress, liaise with the printer, and manage a production team of ten volunteers.



The Company of Musicians

  Sawston I founded the Company of Musicians to give good amateur singers the chance to work with professional musicians, often on new editions of Tudor music. It's a non-profit enterprise, based on my large database of musical contacts, knowledge of local venues, and mailing list of potential audience members. As an offshoot, I helped run a local music festival for seven years and organised choral concerts for this.

This involved a complete overhaul of the site's structure, and changes to the back-end functionality to allow the marketing team more flexibility. The project manager and I ended up doing a lot of work with the design agency as they didn't have much online experience: we revised and improved the functionality to reflect best practice online.
