Bio
Christa Williford
I had the pleasure of working with Becca for several years at CLIR on a wide range of projects in the areas of programmatic development, grant management, fellowship support, curriculum and event planning, and the cultivation of multi-organizational teams and partnerships, including spending 18 months as her supervisor. I appreciated and learned from her skills as a communicator and convener, particularly in stressful and strategically important moments in our organization's history as we adapted first to all-remote work and then to the conditions of the COVID-19 global pandemic. Becca contributed substantially to the re-envisioning of our Digitizing Hidden Collections regranting program as we sharpened its focus on Amplifying Unheard Voices (2020-2022), and she was instrumental in adapting our workflows and processes to better suit the needs of smaller and under-resourced organizations interested in our help. Colleagues, consultants, partners, and reviewers who knew Becca always jumped at the chance to work with her, and this helped us broaden our program's representation and reach. Becca learns quickly and brings thoughtfulness and compassion to all that she does. I look forward to learning about and from her future endeavors.

Becca and I are both program officers with CLIR's Scholarship, Leadership, and Preservation division. Becca has been central to our efforts to increase the impact and inclusiveness of our programs: driving the team to be considerate of the language we use, the impact of policies, and they formats in which we communicate. She is actively engaged in her own development and supporting the development of her colleagues. Becca is dedicated to supporting our grantees and our wider community by communicating transparently, identifying new ways of conveying information, and cooperatively enacting plans to move those ideas forward.
