The categories that LinkedIn allows do not fit the way in which I got to know Beau Parent. Instead, it has been through our friendship. Yet, we have discussed professional issues often and his approach to his work--which is of interest to me as an economic historian at a university. He has a strong sense of how markets are changing and how important it is to be agile and adaptable. He listens exceptionally well and then offers sound solutions based on his extensive experience. He is empathetic and brings a genuine care to his work--he wants to know how he can be helpful and what is needed in any situation. I have been struck by his positive attitude. In a rapidly changing world and work environment, he adjusts easily and indeed, embraces new situations with curiosity and a can-do attitude.
