  Aguilar y Salas is specialized in the design and construction of pressure equipment for refineries, chemical & petrochemical industry among others. As a Project Engineer, my task is to follow up each Project, usually for the construction of several equipments, from the design step to delivery to the client. It implies works as described below: - Collection, study and application of specifications from client related to materials, design, non-destructive testing (NDEs) and site conditions. - Mechanical design of pressure vessels (tanks, reactors, columns…) and heat exchangers acc. European and American codes (ASME, PED, EN, AS...) - Involved in the issue and revision of manufacturing drawings - Follow up the manufacturing process of designed equipments - Process the inputs and outputs from client along project's life. When is needed, I'm also involved in Technical Negotiations during the offer step, in order to reach agreements between client and manufacturer. Show less

  Activities carried out by the Material's Laboratory, located in the University of Technical Architecture (UPC), in the area of constrution are very large and related to the quality control of materials and construction elements. During my student years, my task was the coordination of the samples reception, analysis and diagnosis of the same, as the issue of final reports and perform administrative tasks.
