I have had the pleasure of working directly with Beatrice over the past 5 years as both a dean of culture and also in the capacity of a director of exceptional student education. Throughout that time Beatrice has demonstrated high expectations of her students and holds them all to incredibly high standards that mimic that of any high performing school. In addition to pushing her students forward with academics, she works relentlessly to build a positive culture of student behavior. Throughout my time working with Beatrice she showed that she is a team player and understands when to be voice amongst her staff and when to let their voices be heard. Additionally, while working with Beatrice she built strong relationships with all of our intervention vendors (occupational therapist, speech/language pathologist, school psychologist and counselors) to ensure that they knew the student schedules and deadlines that were set forward for the school. She made it a priority to ensure that all IEPs and family communication were 100% compliant with the students’ best interest at the forefront. Beatrice was able to balance a number of projects at one time and ensured that they all were completed with the highest quality. Time management has always been one of Beatrice’s strongest skills as she accomplished projects that overlapped various departments of the organization. It was truly an honor to work and lead Beatrice and I look forward to seeing her continue to grow, develop and lead in all of her future organizations.
