The Be Project is a program of The Family Place whose aim is to empower youth to be part of the solution to end relationship violence - including bullying, sexual & teen dating violence - and build healthy relationships. Be Project provides age and culturally appropriate classroom and therapeutic groups to children and youth in 3rd-12th grades, as well as to college students. Student graduates from classroom education or therapeutic groups may continue in Be More leadership groups which challenge students to develop youth-led awareness campaigns to implement in their communities. Focused on primary prevention, Be Project addresses topics such as healthy relationships, violence in the media, dating violence, healthy communication, bullying and cyberbullying. In addition, the program offers presentations for professionals and parents on these topics to empower them with knowledge and tools. By working with not only with youth but also with the meaningful adults who impact their daily lives, such as teachers, staff, coaches, counselors, parents and community leaders, Be Project promotes widespread and long lasting change.
