It was my pleasure to work with Bernat Canellas when I joined the Barceló Group as CFO, UK. Bernat was my predecessor taking over 21 hotels in the UK when Barceló signed a 45-years FRI lease with Puma Hotels. He had to deliver in challenging times gaining a lot of experience by reorganising and setting up the business. The Central Support Office was reallocated from Leeds to Hinckley (Leicester) having to employ new staff and implementing new policies and procedures along the way. After the UK adventure I’ve been regularly in contact with Bernat as we both have the same passion... hotels !!!. Bernat has successfully founded ‘The Hotel Factory’ where he, with his partners, provides consultancy services to third parties raging from revenue management or sales and marketing to feasibility studies or business plans. I would not hesitate a second to recommend Bernat to anyone who is looking for high-quality professional advise and expertise.

Bernat´s role as CFO in Barcelo Viajes was critical for the success of the project that ultimately resulted in a joint venture company between American Express and Barcelo Viajes.
