Particularly, he has a great ability to design – from scratch - execution systems, order management systems and low latency systematic trading systems. He has also done a fair amount of work implementing strategies which were designed by quants engineers. So I would rely on him to coordinate the whole implementation project of any algo system, for any asset class. Although he designs solutions front to back, most of his talent is in the front office. His knowledge is broad in terms of technologies, varying from Unix to Windows platforms. But he is particularly comfortable with Java programming on Linux based operating systems. He did not have much chance to manage people, as the team was small. So I would not elaborate on this area. But I can say that, clearly, he is very mature and communicates well with people.
