  The 3rd edition of the Cairo Media Conference is an annual gathering of industry professionals, academics and students to discuss the future of journalism and media. The two-day conference built and expanded upon the observations and recommendations of the previous editions, tackling core issues at the heart of journalism and media in Egypt and the region. The conference included four panels and a case study that discussed content, traditional and digital media, infotainment, access, laws and safety, and women in media. The conference aimed to cover different angles that impact us the most as journalists and media professionals. As the Project Coordinator, I was responsible for the coordination of logistics, communication with guests and speakers, as well as providing editorial support to the team, fine tuning the topics of discussion, and support with media coverage.
