Jennifer Marchant
I worked with Bart for a little over two years while he was VP Marketing, first while managing the Adult Cereals portfolio, and then when he asked me to serve in a Strategy/Innovation role. Bart's drive was palpable when he came onto the scene in at Post Foods in 2009, as he quickly instituted a portfolio destination model that galvanized the entire organization around the same business priorities. As he ascended to the presidency, Bart quickly assessed the broader organizational landscape and collaborated with his leadership team to develop succinct and measurable objectives and strategies, while at the same time adjusting the organizational structure to enable us to deliver on those strategic thrusts. I felt that I thrived under Bart's mentorship, and appreciated that he took the time to understand my development goals, what motivated me, and that he provided me with assignments that gave me the enrichment and fulfillment I was seeking.

I had the pleasure of working for Bart and seeing his evolution as a leader when he was the Vice President of Marketing, at later as President, of Post Foods. Cereal is one of the most competitive, complex categories in packaged goods and it takes a unique leader like Bart to distill that complexity into a focused, insightful, and actionable strategic vision. Bart is the consummate general manager who is as comfortable developing new creative and launching innovative products as he is with the worlds of finance, customer needs, talent recruitment and development, and supply chain management. I learned a tremendous amount from Bart and count myself as a better marketer and manager for having known him.
