I have had the pleasure of working with Bart for almost 30 years. For over 20 of those we were colleagues at Brunswick Bowling and Billiards as we each worked our way from General Manager to multi-unit supervision to Vice President. I have always admired Bart’s approach to work and leadership. He creates a clear set of intelligent objectives for his organization and collaboratively develops a comprehensive plan to achieve them. Quality work, professionalism and strong results are his methods. More recently I have worked with Bart in his capacity of Managing Director with the Bowling Proprietors Association of America (BPAA) while I have become an independent operator and member of the BPAA. In this role, I have witnessed Bart lead and support important functions of this organization of over 3,400 members. He keeps his activities completely in line with the mission statement and has worked to increase the value of membership especially in the areas of education and marketing services for the members. Bart approaches all his endeavors utilizing a unique combination of pride while showing humility; strength with compassion; and determination while building strong relationships. He is very thoughtful and strategic in seeking win/win solutions. His humor brightens every day. I am a much better person having Bart as a colleague and friend.
