He has been invited visiting Consultant Anaesthetist for complex patients at the Karolinska Institute, Sweden. He has a particular interest in patient safety during surgery. He is clinical lead for pre-operative assessment at Birmingham Children’s Hospital and chair's the Senior Medical and Dental Committee for Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Trust.
