  My duties include drafting, reviewing and executing HMI validation test documents (Software module design and test documents). This involves using RS Logix and Archestra IDE software to draft the documents on a system by system basis, cross referencing the associated P&ID's and electrical drawings to capture all elements for each system. Further duties include reviewing test documents to ensure correct content and format and executing upon approval. This involves loop testing all I/O, alarms and functionality of the HMI software. I also attend daily meetings to inform the CSV team lead on progress.

  I managed the instrumentation side of the project which involved instrumentation and automation receipt verification and spec checking. In addition I assembled test packs for review by the client. This involved the red lining of loop and P&ID drawings. My duties also included bench calibration, loop checking and commissioning of these instruments to the various on-site systems.

  I was appointed lead technician on a shut down project that involved various calibrations on six Siemens Turbines, owned by Bord Gas Ireland. The project involved working closely with the onsite maintenance technicians and included responsibilities such as the disconnecting of instruments from turbine enclosures, completing bench calibrations on pressure transmitters/switches, temperature transmitters/switches, level transmitters/switches and speed indicators.

  I worked in the ESB power station at Moneypoint, Clare. I supervised a team of four technicians on a shut down project on one of three turbines at the plant. My duties included meeting with the ESB supervisor each morning to discuss the instrument calibrations that were to be carried out that day. My duties further included conducting various pressure, flow and temperature calibrations out on the field and conducting bench calibrations in the instrument workshop. I was also involved in writing method statements and risk assessments to cover the daily calibrations and I was trained to enter calibration results using the Beamex CMX system.

  I was involved in the commissioning and validation of a new purified water replacement system for the process plant. My duties included full loop checking and calibration of all instruments which included temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, control valves, PH and TOC analyzers. Other duties involved ensuring that instrumentation installations were as per approved drawings and dealing with completion and handover of all validation documentation to the client.
