  I'm currently working with a number of rotating equipment service companies and mechanical seal service providers across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Together, we have recently delivered some significant benefits to users of high dependency rotating equipment: 1. Pharmaceutical Plant, Eastern Europe Improved John Crane T7700/0950 pressurised double mechanical seal reliability on 7 off top entry mixers resulting in a significant reduction in down time and running costs. Converted seals from wet lubricated to dry lubricated and supplied gas panels. Also designed and supplied upgrade to enable seals to be internally sterilised with steam prior to the manufacture of each batch, completely eliminating the risk of bacteria contaminating the product via the seals. 2. Petrochemical Refinery, Western Europe Fast repair of EagleBurgmann SHV1/1250 pressurised double seal on a crude oil pump, reducing pump down time by 6 weeks. The seal was seriously damaged during removal from the pump to investigate why it would not hold pressure and no other company could provide the required lead time. All sliding faces (special SiC), elastomers (Kalrez), springs (Hastelloy) and various metal parts (Duplex) were replaced. The seal cartridge was assembled and successfully tested at maximum operating pressure of 94 bar. 3. Power Station, Western Europe Repair of 2 off Flexibox RRSP/1310 pressurised double seal cartridges for a BFW pump to original specification. After inspecting the seals, it was clear they had previously been repaired using solid ptfe o rings and that this had caused the seals to fail prematurely. All components, including all sliding faces and o rings, were returned to original specification and the seals were rebuilt and successfully pressure tested in under 5 weeks. 4. Renewable Power Storage Plant, Western Europe Supply of repairs, new seals and technical support for a total of 8 off Kaydon CBS (circumferential barrier seals) for Solar compressors. Show less
