Since its launch in 2002, the Global Fund invests billions of US dollars annually towards halting and reversing the progress of these diseases. Maintaining donor confidence in its financial integrity is central to its success.• Established the finance function of the Global Fund and led its continuous development in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment. • Upon appointment, quickly earned confidence of the Board, comprised of governmental, private sector and civil society constituencies, through the reliability and integrity of guidance provided to inform decision making. Built strong relationship with World Bank as Trustee of the Fund.• Integrally involved in development and implementation of the Fund’s financial and operational policies, funding processes, and evolution of the Global Fund strategy and business model.• Served as interim Deputy Executive Director in 2009.
