Bio
Ken Maltby
I had the pleasure of working with Barb at Froedtert Workforce Health when she took a chance on me to join her business development team. Armed with years of experience in account management and development, but no prior health care background, she mentored me in wellness best practice principles and provided me with the tools I needed to be successful. She is fiercely loyal to her team and encouraged personal growth opportunities by nominating me to attend Leadership Menomonee Falls. She sees the potential in people that they might not recognize themselves. She encouraged me to take chances, and even fail, if it meant I could learn from that experience and would be there to provide support if needed. Her drive to always be better, tenacity to achieve goals others thought were out of reach and developing innovative programs were instrumental to the incredible growth of the Workforce Health business unit. Leader, coach, mentor, educator, and good friend are words that scratch the surface of who Barb is and what she represents. Any organization would be doing themselves a great service by making Barb a part of their team.
Mike Brady
As Employee Benefits Director at the City of Milwaukee from 1996-2016, Barb helped lead the City Wellness program resulting in flat health care costs and improved performance for over 10 years. Working with senior City staff, city employees, consultants and her staff the City was able to grow a wellness program that added services and challenged employees on an annual basis. Starting with health assessments and classes, the program continued to grow to include a on-site clinic, employee incentives and remarkable outcomes. The City was extremely fortunate to have Barb, not only leading her team that worked with City employees, but working with City elected officials and senior City staff in changing the culture of health at the City of Milwaukee.
