Barbara's decision to join the management team at Galatea: Jewelry by Artist on a full time basis has been a boon to the company and myself. Leaving the safety and security of the publishing and public relations side of the jewelry business for a down in the trenches, dirty up to your elbows job with a manufacturing jewelry designer has been, I'm sure, way more than she bargained for! Barbara has, none the less, been completely up to the challenge. Together with the talented owner and principle artist, Chi Galatea Huynh, she is helping to lead the way to unprecedented growth. Eager to help in any way that she can, Barbara has demonstrated a willingness to do whatever is needed of her in order to help further the mission of the company. Even as my the scope of my own duties grow on an almost daily basis, it is made easier with the knowledge that Barbara is willing and able to help whether through thoughts or actions. Although I do miss Modern Jeweler, I am thrilled that it's demise brought this wonderful woman into my professional life!
